Version3 was asked to provide a demonstration video for the new Path 15, a high-voltage tower system running through Central California that was completed in early 2005. This animation was used to show where the system was located, and its capacity.

During the live switch throwing ceremony for Path 15, Governor Schwarzenegger wanted to be able to convey to the audience the enormous capacity increase the new tower segment would provide and the impact on California's Power Grid. Version3 was asked to provide an animation that touched on all these points.

This commercial takes a second look at the already engaging print collateral for the 2004 Sacramento Auto Show. Version3 was asked to expand on the current print campaign to help create a unique regional commercial.

Version3 provided high-quality photographic services to capture this landmark automotive dealer in Sacramento. In order to keep costs down, Version3 used still frame photos from a Canon 10D which gave the videographer the ability to pan and zoom across the lot to create a dramatic motion effect.

Version3 was hired by UC Davis to help accurately visualize on a DNA molecular level, the process of Mad Cow disease creating abnormally shaped prions. Version3 created, modeled, surfaced and animated the DNA strand sequence seen here.

This educational video features animation layered on top of live video to demonstrate specific techniques in deep-tissue massage. Medical-grade 3D models were also used to show precision animations of bone movement during the procedure.

Developed for a Interactive menuing system, this galaxy animation features complex particle animation and lighting techniques. These techniques allow the galaxy to appear constantly alive, without interfering with the serene aspect of the scene.

Developed for an education DVD menuing system, this solar system loop animation takes a compressed and artistic look at our local solar neighborhood. Featuring complex lighting and realistic planet textures, the animation was designed to not interfere with the super text that will be applied over it.

Developed to test emergency response in the Sacramento area, this simulation features a news-style broadcast of theoretical events.

In order to establish realism, the production crew modeled objects and locations off of real-life counterparts. Photos were taken of downtown Sacramento and buildings were constructed in 3-dimensional space based upon their real-world locations.

Damage details and Emergency systems were extrapolated from real-world variables, and scale models were designed and built to provide a groundwork upon which a real emergency team would respond.

This video features animated flying 3D logos and objects using film-quality volumetrics and particle systems to achieve a surrealistic electronic/explosion effect suitable for the rock and roll roots of this legendary band.

The Web is a fast, efficient, and inexpensive way to deliver your video to the web. In a very short period of time, Version3 converted and encoded over 15 Public Service Announcements created for CAL FIRE over the years. Version3 employed the MPEG 4 codec to achieve exceptional video and audio clarity in the smallest possible file size.

These PSAs are a time capsule of information that still hold a significant meaning for Californians today.
